Rather than focusing on Robin Hood’s youthful adventures, the film follows an older, battle-worn Robin Hood who is gravely wounded and forced to confront his past, the consequences of his life as an outlaw, and the legends that have grown around him. The tone is darker, more emotional, and more grounded than traditional Robin Hood adaptations.
