After leaving the police force, Ip Man opens his own Wing Chun school. When a Western boxing gym and powerful interests threaten to wipe out the local martial arts community, he steps in to defend both his students and Chinese kung fu traditions. In another storyline, he is framed for murder, imprisoned, and forced to fight to survive while clearing his name.
