

ODSG SETS TO BOOSTS FIRE SERVICE CAPACITIES
…As Fire Service CG Promises the State Additional Fire Truck.
“I am happy to use this occasion to inform you here that, His Excellency, Mr Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN has recently approved the repairs of four ( 4 ) Fire Trucks belonging to the State Fire Agency and one Ambulance that were hitherto left unattended to by previous administrations in the State” .
These are the words of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa while playing host to the Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service, Dr Ibrahim Limah Alhaji and his Management Team at Cocoa Conference Hall, Governor’s office, Akure on Tuesday.
The Federal Fire Service chiefs were in the State for one week retreat for its Management Team.
Aiyedatiwa, who stood in for Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, thanked the CG for bringing the training, first since the history of the Service to Ondo State.
Speaking further, he called on all and sundry on the needs to be cautious at these particular time of the year, transition from wet season to dry season.
“We consider this visit as clarion call for the State to rise up to meeting the emerging challenges posed by fire outbreaks particularly in the coming hot seasons of November through April” , he cautioned.
“Our desire to mitigate against fire disasters have not waned at all, and we are reinvigorating our State Fire Service Agency to synergize with their counterparts in the Federal Fire Service”.
“I must commend the support of the Comptroller General in the various efforts to seeing that the State is on top and in control of emerging fire situations” , declared, the Deputy Governor.
The Comptroller General thanked the Deputy Governor for finding time to received them, promising that, “very soon, Ondo State will get additional Fire Truck” .
In attendance are, Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Chief of Staff to Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon Donald Ojogo, Head of Service, Pastor John Adeyemo, Special Adviser to Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr Dare Aragbaye, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructures, Engr Allen Idowu Owolabi, DFA, Office of Deputy Governor, Mr Olufemi Obideyi and others.
