Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, has opined that corps members are part of the national defence policy of Nigeria and can be mobilised for war if need be. This was said by Ibrahim on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ programme yesterday while reacting to moves to scrap the NYSC scheme, which is compulsory for all Nigerians who graduate before the age of 30.
As a follow-up to this urgent and important announcement in the present situation of our dear country faced with insecurity, kidnapping, corruption and banditry. A corp member has started to practice all military combat strategies on how to successful carry out her selfless service to her dear nation when the need arises.
Some corp members also have started their martial art training.
