The film follows Randy “Unique” Joneson, a military veteran and ex-convict played by Shameik Moore. After leaving prison, he moves to a small Ohio town seeking a fresh start, only to uncover a violent conspiracy involving a racist sheriff and the disappearances of young Black men.
