Breaking News : Abia Police Parade Suspected Criminals, Recover Guns and Charms

The Abia State Police Command recently paraded several suspected criminals involved in various crimes across the state.

Among them was Victor Emmanuel, a 500-level student at Abia State University Uturu, who fatally shot a fellow student named Emmanuel Uche in a lodge at Uturu last month.

According to ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Command, the police have achieved significant success in combating criminal activities under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Kenechukwu Onwuemelie.

Over 100 suspected criminals have been apprehended in different parts of the state, with many cases successfully prosecuted in court.

The recovered exhibits showcased during the parade included firearms, charms, tricycles, a toy gun, a bag of Indian hemp, and various other items.

Notably, items such as EFCC jackets and ID cards, vehicle number plates, railway slippers, and electric wires were also seized by the police.

In his confession to journalists, Victor Emmanuel admitted to the murder of Emmanuel Uche, citing a dispute between their respective groups over a mobile phone as the motive behind the crime.

Commissioner of Police Kenechukwu Onwuemelie pledged transparent handling of the investigation into the death of Emmanuel Okocha, an Aba-based businessman allegedly shot dead by a policeman.
