The Members of the State house of Assembly has removed Engineer Rauf Adeyemi Olaniyan as Oyo State Deputy Governor today Monday 18 July, 2022.
The decision to impeach the Deputy governor according to the lawmakers during the plenary session today was a result of the recommendation made by the panel to investigate his activities in the State.
The findings of the panel set up to investigate the Deputy Governor was read by the Majority Leader of the House, Sanjo Adedoyin, from Ogbomoso.
The deputy governor was discovered to be guilty of all accusations and allegations charged against him.The Assembly approved Olaniyan’s removal from office leaning on section 188 (9) of the 1999 constitution (as amended).
