On Tuesday, March 1, 2022 The Headies Awards organizers had made a special announcement regarding the overall rebranding of the award ceremony itself. One of such announcements was the introduction of 6 new award categories.
The growth of Afrobeat to other parts of the world cannot be overemphasized. The award ceremony organizers introduced 6 new categories to appreciate those that have played a crucial role in making this feat happen.

International Artiste Of The Year
